GasBuddy Blog -- The national average has come down a long way in the last month, but the good news may end there: it's likely that the decreases begin fizzling, and in some areas, increases may be on the horizon.

Since October 12, one month ago, the national average has shed 33c/gal, falling today to an average of $3.46, just two cents away from where it was a year ago. Last year, however, the national average continued decreasing until Christmas, when it bottomed out at $3.231/gal. For that to happen this year, prices would need to shed another 23c/gal, something that just at this point doesn't seem so feasible anymore.

While I had forecast that the national average could drop to $3.35/gal by Thanksgiving, I'm beginning to wonder if it...

$2.99??..... What this nation needs for economic recovery is $0.99 Gas. Of course, since the Head Environut has been re-elected, that won't happen....

Speedway here is making sure the Thankgiving traveller will have to bend over here before they fill their vehicle. Now it is now up to $3.59. They still have a week and a half to go. $4.00 a gallon by Thanksgiving? I wouldn't put it past these robber barons.

I guess we're fortunate at this time to see prices in Central Florida that are well below the national average. Regarding that $3.23 by Christmas, several places in the Tampa Bay area are already cheaper than that. And don't be giving Big Oil any ideas by predicting a price rebound in the near future!

Took advantage of a Veteran's Day
Special [local only - don't expect this
everywhere] at the USA gas station in town.

Filled my tank, to the tune of only
$3.09 per gallon, regular.

My muscle car, (& my pocketbook, too)
will be happy for a long time.
